Head Coach, Peloton Cycle

Fitness Personality:

Helping people find their edge or limit and pushing beyond

My Everyday Mantra:

Dare to show up; No guts, no glory. Don’t wait until you’ve reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud every step/ pedal stroke you take toward reaching that goal. Don’t ever lose sight of the top – don’t ever allow yourself to get complacent. Commit, recommit, & believe in yourself.

My BurnThis Moment:

For me, indoor cycling is the perfect bridge of running, sweating & athleticism, mixed with a feeling I only ever felt playing competitive sports. You are doing things you didn’t think you could do, while recreating yourself and really pushing your own limits.  There is something about it that becomes so empowering for a rider, and it was at the exact moment that I realized I was able to to take my love of coaching and inspire others, that I knew this was exactly what I was meant to be doing. When I realized that a rider walks in with a particular mood and I have the ability to help them walk out totally transformed, providing a cathartic experience, that inspired me to change career paths and make this not just a dream, but a way of life. For me, I knew I was in the right place by having the opportunity to make riders feel better about themselves and change their lives.

Best Fit Tip:

Cardio interval training that includes a few breathless intervals is paramount. By creating a deficiency of oxygen in the body, you continue to burn calories long after the workout is complete. When sequencing my classes at Peloton, I always design the ride to provide a high energy and maximum calorie burning experience, both in class and outside of the studio.
